DC circuit breakers are specifically designed for direct current applications like solar PV systems. The key differences are:

• Arc extinction: DC arcs are harder to extinguish because the current doesn't naturally cross zero like AC. DC breakers have special arc chutes and magnetic blowout coils.
• Voltage rating: DC breakers are rated for specific DC voltages (e.g., 500V, 800V, 1000V DC) while AC breakers are rated for AC voltage.
• Polarity: Some DC breakers are polarity-sensitive and must be installed correctly.

Never use an AC breaker in a DC solar application - it cannot safely interrupt DC fault currents and may cause a fire.

The voltage rating depends on your system's maximum open-circuit voltage (Voc). Calculate your string Voc by multiplying the panel Voc by the number of panels in series, then add a safety margin for cold temperatures (typically 10-15%).

• 500VDC: Suitable for smaller residential systems (typically up to 8-10 panels per string)
• 800VDC: Common for medium residential and small commercial systems
• 1000VDC: Required for larger commercial installations with long strings

Always select components rated equal to or higher than your maximum system voltage.

Our FHB series battery fuses are specifically designed for high-voltage battery storage systems. Key features include:

Many competitors only offer 500V rated fuses, which are inadequate for modern high-voltage battery systems.

Select your SPD based on:

• System voltage: Match or exceed your maximum Voc (we offer 600V and 1000V models)
• Number of strings: 2-pole for single string systems, 4-pole for dual string or bipolar systems
• Type/Class: Type 2 SPDs are standard for PV installations; Type 1+2 combined for areas with direct lightning risk
• Discharge capacity: Higher kA ratings provide better protection. Our SPDs offer up to 40kA per pole

Install SPDs as close to the inverter as possible, and always use a dedicated backup fuse.

We deliver nationwide across South Africa via courier. Delivery times vary by location:

• Major metros: 2-3 business days

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on:

Standard stock items may be returned within 14 days, subject to conditions:

• Product must be unused and in original packaging
• Original invoice required
• RMA number must be obtained before returning
• 10% handling fee applies to non-defective returns
• Return shipping is at customer's expense

All Feeo products carry a 24-month manufacturer warranty (12 months for MC4 connectors) covering defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does NOT cover:

• Improper installation or misuse
• Operation outside rated specifications
• Lightning damage or extreme power surges
• Normal wear and tear
• Products modified by unauthorised parties

To make a warranty claim:

1. Contact info@feeo.co.za within 7 days of discovering the defect
2. Provide your original invoice, product details, and photos/description of the issue
3. If required, return the product to the distributor it was purchased from
4. After assessment, we will repair, replace, or refund as appropriate

Assessment may take up to 14 business days. Shipping for confirmed defective items is covered by Feeo.

Special orders include:

• Products ordered specifically for you that aren't normally stocked
• Bulk orders exceeding normal stock levels
• Custom configurations or specifications
• Items imported specifically for your order

These orders require upfront procurement costs and cannot be resold easily, hence they are non-returnable. We confirm special order status before processing, so please verify your requirements carefully before placing such orders.
